CBHG Building was engaged by Uniting to construct a 12-bed extension to the existing Aged Care Hostel. The project involved the construction of two symmetrical wings, seamlessly connecting to the existing facility.
Due to the nature of the project, safety was a top priority. We erected hoarding and secured the construction area to ensure the residents remained safe and separated from the worksite throughout the duration of the build.
Throughout the project, CBHG Building fostered a strong working relationship with the hostel’s staff, maintaining continuous communication to ensure they were kept informed of the construction timeline and any potential impacts on their daily operations. This collaboration ensured smooth coordination and minimal disruption to the residents and staff.
The project commenced in November 2017 and was successfully completed on time and on budget by May 2018, adding new capacity to the aged care facility and enhancing the living space for its residents.
